You're already stealing from me, love.

I read an article tonight about dating, and it said this:
3. Be captivated
"I often tell my patients (not to mention family and friends) that finding and sustaining love is like acquiring a piece of art. We should wait to be struck and captivated. But all too often we walk around with our pre-crafted 'frame' — or idea of whom we belong with — desperately trying to fit someone into it.

"So in 2009, throw away your mental checklist of what you're looking for and keep a truly open mind—you might be surprised at who truly clicks with you."
– Ian Kerner, Ph.D., author of DSI: Date Scene Investigation

I have the idea of the perfect man for me in my mind and I do walk around looking for that person who will fit the mold, complete the picture.

I also am waiting to be captivated. I have been twice recently. But I don't have either of their phone numbers, nor do I know when (or if) I will see either of them again.

I'm just waiting, that's all I can do.

  1. I just got all caught up on your blog. I love you and I miss you so much. I love reading your blog because you write so much of what I feel. I am a little jealous of you sometimes to be honest. You are such a blessing in my life, and I don't even think you know it. Thank you for being my friend. You do an awesome job at it. I'm praying for you.

  2. Jess...You've been writing things I've needed to hear...I love you and miss you!!!
